If you want to find out how to access funding simply check out this link.
Either go to the volunteer tool kit
results.badminton.org.nz/Volunteers/
click on the finance menu then funding application guide tool
or go straight to it by clicking here

Funding is becoming harder to get - not because there is less money - word is that incomes have recovered since the no smoking legislation - but there is more competition for it.
Aim to tie in your funding to development and avoid trying to just churn out the same application as you did last year. Keep funding apps to around the 10,000 or less mark can also help but is not essential.
Make sure you are an incorporated society - there are tips on the toolkit under leadership on how to do this. More trusts are making that a requirement and it also protects your committee from liability anyway.
Here are some of the big trusts and their websites where they should have application forms you can download.
Be careful some required 2 quotes, some 3, some approve only 1 a year most more than that.

The Trusts Charitable Foundation

But there are many more. To see which ones apply to your area click here

(Yes I know it's long :-) but it saves you having to find your way round the dia site)
Scroll down to the map of NZ and click on your area.
Ain to get support letters from your parent body that can make a big difference.
What you can fund - hall hire, shuttles, coaching, trips for junior teams, shirts, maintenance, promotion costs, and more - check with the trust you are applying to.
The key is to have a funding plan - know what your top priority projects are - know who you want to approach and when (apply 12 weeks out minimum from the project) - then have a back up if they say no but only apply to one trust at a time.
Hope this helps and Happy Funding :-) .
