If you want volunteers you need to register with them but this is free - they recommend 6 months prior to when you need help - and they will advertise on their site.
Check out if there is also a regional site as well as the national one in your area.
Once registered your event or need for volunteers will be accessible to anyone in NZ who may want to help you out.
